World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) is a global non-profit organization, headquartered at Noida, India, that has been spearheading the cause and development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) world over since its inception in 1980. Over 40 years, WASME has emerged as one of the most representative, effective and leading international organization working towards the promotion of SMEs worldwide through Policy Advocacy, Information Dissemination, Conferences, Seminars, Events, Training, Publication, Network linkages and many more. WASME working with many UN agencies, several intergovernmental and international organizations. WASME is emerging as a powerful international organization with representatives in different parts of the world that include Permanent Representatives, Senior Advisors, External Consultants etc.

To build WASME as a foremost world private and cohesive community of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that is dedicated to strengthen and foster them as prime driver of global economy

The mission of WASME is to be a catalyst in strengthening national and international cooperation for the growth and development of SMEs.

The objectives of WASME for the growth and promotion of Micro organizations and SME’s are as follows.

– Articulating concerns and interests of SMEs at various UN and international fora.
– Networking with related/similar organisations
– Capacity building of SMEs through managerial and skill development programmes.
– Carrying out research and studies on topical issues confronting SMEs
– Developing relationship between SMEs in developed and developing countries by encouraging enterprise-to-enterprise cooperation.
– Enlarging collaboration with UN agencies and international organisations.
– Disseminating information on and about international developments in SME sector

  • Organising entrepreneurship motivation and development programmes as well as programmes for training of trainers.
  • Providing assistance in formulation of bankable projects.
  • Counselling and consultancy services for identification of appropriate and relevant technologies.
  • Facilitating tie-ups with established enterprises for marketing linkages.
  • Escort services to trainees to enable them to set up their own enterprises
